Heather Edwards, Minot, sentenced to time served, probation, for intent to deliver methamphetamine

Heather Nicole Edwards 37, Minot, was sentenced last week to two years in prison, with all suspended but the 20 days she has already served, and two years of supervised probation for a Class B felony charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Court records show that Edwards has been admitted to the Drug Court program and received alternative sentencing under those guidelines.

Edwards has already completed a chemical dependency evaluation.

She was also ordered to pay $900 in court costs.

Edwards was charged following a traffic stop in September. According to court records, police found 22 grams of methamphetamine in a plastic bag in Edwards’ wallet and $552 in cash. Police also found a money order and a check for rent. Edwards explained that she had collected rent as she was managing several rental properties in Minot. After she was arrested, police also found a digital scale with suspected drug residue.
