WILLISTON – Williston Public Works and Engineering is celebrating the grand opening of their new complex located at 1121 5th Street E.

The public is welcome to visit the new complex on Nov. 6 from 2-4 p.m. The celebration will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. followed by tours.

The new 96,000-square-foot public works complex will provide more than 20,000-square-feet for administration, more than 20,000-square-feet for the shop and about 45,000-square-feet for parking. The complex will be able to house all the equipment in one location.

While touring, visitors can check out which mayors have rooms named after them.

Currently, Public Works has 119 positions with 95 filled. The new complex will work as a recruiting tool in filling positions as it is a state-of-the-art facility for public works administration and equipment.
