Pre-trial diversion agreement proposed for Tawny Zahn-Greene in corruption of a minor case

A pre-trial diversion agreement has been proposed for Tawny Erika Zahn-Greene, 24, Minot who is accused of having consensual sex with a 17-year-old boy in June 2018.

The proposed pre-trial agreement is for two years. It calls for Zahn-Green to avoid schools and day cares other places frequented by teenagers, with an exception made for the child she is expecting. She will be allowed to pick up and drop off her own child at day care, but must interact only with adult day care workers. She must also refrain from interaction with teenagers except for her close family members.

If Zahn-Greene complies with all of the terms of the pre-trial diversion agreement, the Class C felony corruption of a minor charge against her would be dismissed.

North Central District Court Judge Stacy Louser is considering the agreement and had not yet signed the order as of Friday morning.

A prosecutor said the young man in the case, who was three months away from his 18th birthday at the time the incident was reported, is in agreement.

According to court documents, Zahn-Greene and the boy had been co-workers. The boy’s mother reported the relationship to authorities last year and the boy later admitted that he had sex with Zahn-Greene. Zahn-Greene, who was 23 at the time, admitted that she knew the boy was only 17. It is illegal for an adult to have a sexual relationship with a minor under the age of 18.
