Minot woman appointed to ND Council on the Arts

BISMARCK – Megan Laudenschlager of Minot has been appointed to the North Dakota Council on the Arts board of directors, according to a news release.

Laudenschlager will serve the counties of Burke, Mountrail, Renville, Ward, Bottineau, McHenry and Pierce.

Laudenschlager is the founder and executive director of Strengthen ND. She is a graduate of Minot State University with a B.A. in mathematics and has obtained a Certificate in Fundraising through the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Her areas of expertise include board and staff development, fundraising planning, grant writing, strategic planning, organizational action planning, program design and evaluation, succession planning, and meeting facilitation.

Kent Kapplinger, Fargo, who worked professionally as an artist, visual arts instructor, and printer for nearly 30 years and recently retired from teaching at North Dakota State University, also was named to the board of directors.

Gov. Doug Burgum made the appointments to the NDCA board.
