Adam Gaffigan, Sasha Lavallie, Minot, charged with intent to deliver heroin, exposing children to drugs

Adam Scott Gaffigan, 29, and Sasha Lynn Lavallie, 28, are each charged with Class B felony possession of heroin with intent to deliver, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia for manufacture or delivery, and Class C felony child endangerment for allegedly exposing two young children to drugs in their home.

They made initial appearances on the charges in district court in Minot on Tuesday before Judge Stacy Louser, who set bond at $10,000 cash or corporate surety. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 26. Louser also ordered them not to have contact with two females. According to a police affidavit, children ages 5 and 7 were living with Gaffigan and Lavallie and were present when the Ward County Narcotics Task Force raided the home on Monday.

According to the affidavit, authorities found a safe in the bedroom shared by Lavallie and Gaffigan. The safe contained 13 individually wrapped aluminum packages containing suspected heroin, a digital scale with drug residue, multiple glass smoking devices with suspected residue, and two strips of Suboxone. Heroin paraphernalia was found hidden inside a doll house in the children’s closet.

Gaffigan and Lavallie claimed the items in the safe belonged to someone who has died. However, Gaffigan’s wallet and his photo ID were found inside the safe. A phone was found lying on Gaffigan’s and Lavallie’s bed with messages from Gaffigan saying “hid everything.”

“Sasha doesn’t deserve to be here,” Gaffigan told Judge Louser on Tuesday afternoon. “She doesn’t deserve any of this. She was kind of forced into doing this by me … I’m not getting out.”
