Mouse River Players begin auditions

Mouse River Players announce the beginning of its 49th season with the auditions for “Somewhere In France Is A Lily” on Friday, July 26, at 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, at 4 p.m.

Auditions will be held at the Mouse River Players Arlene Auditorium located at 115 1st Street SE in downtown Minot.

This all-female historical drama explores the role of women in WWI and how their service helped shape the early women’s movement in America and throughout the world. The play will focus on the character Lily as she graduates high school and becoems a nurse on the front lines in France during WWI. The show will be performed Sept. 13-15 and Sept. 20-22.

There are speaking roles available for 14 women ranging from mid-teen and older. Ensemble (non-speaking) roles are also available.

No prepared audition is necessary, come ready for cold readings from the script.
