Midsummer Night Festival brings food and music

The Scandinavian Heritage Park will be holding the Midsummer Night Festival in the Park on June 19. The event will host food, music and a movie.

A meal will start the event, running from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. or while supplies last. At 7 p.m., the Minot City Band will begin playing and a flag ceremony and Nordic country anthems will take place at 7:15 p.m.

After that, music will be provided by Shelby Huston, Nicole Biwer and Larry Nelson.

From 9 until 9:30 p.m., a bonfire celebration will take place with a movie starting at 10 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs and to remember bug spray.

The cost for food is $5, but music and other events taking place are free to attend.
