Four applications received for medical marijuana dispensary in Minot region

BISMARCK – Four applications were received for the operation of a medical marijuana dispensary in the Minot region, according to North Dakota Department of Health.

The application deadline closed Tuesday for the regions of Devils Lake, Dickinson, Jamestown and Minot. Fourteen applications were received in total.

A panel will review all complete applications and score and select an applicant in each region for registration. Dispensaries selected for registration will dispense usable marijuana to registered qualifying patients and designated caregivers and provide vital information and education, the health department reported.

This is the final round of registering dispensaries. Applications previously had been taken for the Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck/Mandan and Williston regions, and the first dispensary is set to open today in Fargo.
