Dillon Richard Jesz, 25, Minot, entered a guilty plea on Thursday in district court in Minot to one Class C felony count of promoting obscenity to a minor.

No sentence or sentencing date has yet been listed on the North Dakota Courts site.

According to court documents, Jesz sent pornographic images to a 13-year-old girl in June 2017. Jesz reportedly admitted to sending the images to the girl, but told police he thought she was 18. The girl told authorities she did not tell Jesz her age, but he knew where she went to school and she assumed he knew she was 13 at the time.

Jesz had been scheduled to go to trial on two Class C felony charges on Jan. 15. The trial was canceled when he decided to change his plea to guilty.
