The Minot Duplicate Bridge Club will be hosting “Intro to Bridge” lessons beginning Oct. 27. The lessons are a chance to learn the game or learn some new tricks.

According to Maye Jones, who will be instructing the lessons, bridge is one of the most popular card games in the word, exceeding 600 million players world-wide.

An easy game to learn but hard to master, it is inexpensive and mentally challenging. No expertise needed. It is considered one of the best mental activities to keep the brain exercised and stalling the onset of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The only cost for the lessons is $20 for the lesson booklet. Lessons will run on Oct. 27, Nov. 3, Nov. 10, and Nov. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Minot Public School Community Education building.
