Souris Valley Animal Shelter donations

Submitted Photo Maddie Hogue organizes donations made by children at the Washington Elementary CLC program to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.

Children from the Washington Elementary CLC collected and delivered needed supplies to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter earlier this week. Washington CLC site coordinator Regina Alford said hundreds of items were donated. Kids were divided into teams and worked together to win points. Alford said the children were glad to give supplies to the animal shelter so they can put more money toward their capital campaign to build a new shelter. The shelter is in need of donated items such as non-clumping cat litter, cat toys, canned cat food, dog toys, dog treats, metal food bowls that can’t tip over, leashes, bleach, large lawn bags, dish soap, medical rubber gloves, powdered laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels, sponges with scrubby pads, and kitten milk replacement. People can also donate by writing a check to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter, 1935 20th Avenue SE, Minot, N.D. 58701. More information is available at the shelter website at https://svaspets.com/capital-fund-campaign/.
