The construction zone continues to shrink downtown, as contractors finished and opened one block of Second Street Northeast this week. This is the area around Hight Construction, Culligan and The Spot.

Wagner Construction, the general contractor, has seven blocks and one intersection left to finish on the overall job. Crews are working in all other areas, either pouring concrete, forming sidewalks, sealing roads or preparing for new light poles.

Some of the best ways to get downtown are by using Main Street off Burdick Expressway, Second Avenue or First Avenue from either side of downtown and Central Avenue from the east side of downtown.
