Pipeline leak reported near Tioga
TIOGA North Dakota Department of Health officials said a pipeline leak occurred 16 miles north of Tioga.
The report indicates the pipeline, owned by Continental Resources, leaked about 18,900 gallons of brine.
The leak occurred after the pipeline was struck by equipment during excavation.The brine spill was confined to the excavated area near the pipeline, has not impacted any waterway and is not a threat to public health at this time.
The Health Department and the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division have responded and cleanup is under way.
