International Music Camp invites public to variety performances

Performances offer dance, jazz, vocals and more this Saturday

Session five of International Music Camp began July 14 and offered six programs for campers to expand their musical and artistic talents. Now this weekend, the camp invites the public to come and see campers perform.

Starting tonight at 8 p.m. in the Masonic Auditorium, the International Music Camp will be present the IMC Jazz Faculty Band. The 20-piece big band is comprised of some of the finest artist-teachers and clinicians in North America. The band will entertain the audience with an evening of easy listening from the big band era through the modern jazz of today.

The week of programs will end Saturday with performances from the main programs taking place starting at 10 a.m. with the Dance Recital at the Burdick Center. The Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Band will take the Masonic Auditorium stage at 1:30 p.m.
