The 8th annual Fort Stevenson Regatta will begin at noon Aug. 22. The course length will be between eight and 10 miles based on weather conditions. Spectators can view the race from the park’s bluffs overlooking Lake Sakakawea and from the guardhouse lawn. There is no fee to watch. The park charges a $7 vehicle daily entrance fee unless a State Park Annual Pass is displayed. Fort Stevenson State Park is located three miles south of Garrison.
