Fort Stevenson State Park is offering a special outdoor event on Feb. 11 from 5-7:30 p.m. Participants are invited to hike, cross country ski or snowshoe by candlelight during the full moon known as the Snow Moon. Park staff will provide candle luminaries to light the way followed by hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows at journey’s end.

Anyone interested in utilizing snowshoes or ski equipment should contact the park at 337-5576 by Thursday, Feb. 9, to determine availability. Fort Stevenson State Park is located three miles south of Garrison.
