Pediatrician to retire after 25 years of practice
Dr. Melissa Messerly, a long-time pediatrician with Trinity Health, is retiring at the end of October after more than 25 years of practice.
Messerly joined Trinity Health in 1994 as an early addition to Trinity Health’s physician group. A breastfeeding specialist, she had interests in several health issues that affect children and adolescents, including obesity, asthma, and attentional issues. She also played a major part in advocating for comprehensive sports physicals for young athletes.
“Dr. Messerly had an impact on pediatric care in our community,” said Thomas M. Warsocki, vice president of Physician Network Services, in information from Trinity Health. “She was always working to make sure children got a healthy start.”
A graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, she completed her residency training at the University of Iowa Hospital. Following residency, she fulfilled a four-year military commitment in the Air Force before joining Trinity Health.
Cards and well wishes may be sent to Messerly at Health Center, Medical Arts, PO Box 5020, Minot ND 58702.
