Rural Community Grant Fund awards $6,000 grant

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota is proud to announce that it has awarded the Minot Commission on Aging $6,000 as a recipient of the Rural Community Grant Fund. The grant funds will help with their technology upgrades as well as some office business machines.

Farm Credit strongly believes it’s important to give back to the community.

“Farm Credit is pleased to provide grant funds to help them upgrade their technology to maintain required recordkeeping,” said Gordon Hanson, CEO of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota. They have three computers, a copier and a website that is in need of updating. “It is important for them to have current technology to ensure they are able to meet the needs of their clients now and in the future,” he said.

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, Farm Credit Services of Mandan and Agribank, established the Rural Community Grant fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in communities and rural areas in western North Dakota which have been impacted by oil and mineral exploration.
