Neurosurgeon brings new skills to the region

Thomas Frimpong, DO, a neurological and spine surgeon, has joined Trinity Health in the specialty of Neurosurgery. He brings a unique set of skills to the region, having the added qualification of being fellowship-trained in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery. He also has a focus on surgery to correct adolescent and adult scoliosis.

A graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, he completed his Neurosurgery residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Roanoke. He did his post-residency fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at Bassett Healthcare – Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, where he functioned as a neurosurgery attending and a clinical instructor in Neurological Surgery. He has practiced at Trinity Health on a locum basis since 2016.

Dr. Frimpong joins Dr. Charles Wood, Ashley Wallner, FNP-C, and Durand Jones, FNP-C, in offering the least invasive, most effective treatments to people with brain and spinal conditions resulting from disease or injury. Dr. Frimpong sees patients at Health Center – East, Suite 401, 20 Burdick Expressway West in Minot, with appointments at 701-857-5877.
