Free showing of movie ‘Silo’ set for Sept. 14

KENMARE – The Tolley Fire Department will be offering a free showing of the movie “SILO” on Wednesday, Sept.14, at 8 p.m. in the Kenmare Theatre.

“SILO” is a film about a teenage boy when he becomes the victim of a grain entrapment. As corn becomes quicksand inside of a 50-foot silo, the town locals must put aside their deeply rooted differences to save him from drowning in the grain they harvest. The film was inspired by true events.

The film showing is open to everyone. Concessions will be available for purchase. For more information regarding the movie, visit the website: https://www.silothefilm.com.

The film is being shown in conjunction with the Tolley Fire Department’s recent award of grain bin rescue equipment through a grant provided by AgCountry Farm Credit Services. On Tuesday, Outstate Data, LLC was in Tolley to conduct training with the equipment. The Tolley, Kenmare and Bowbells fire departments participated.
