Community Concert Band seeks members

The Minot Community Concert Band invites local musicians interested in performing with the band to its first rehearsal Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Jim Hill Middle School Band/Orchestra Room. Rehearsals are typically on the first and third Mondays of the month.

The ensemble is free to join and consists of musicians from Minot and surrounding communities.

“Our favorite part about this band is that it brings together people from all different walks of life to make music.” said co-director Tim Baumann.

Interested members should have prior experience playing their instrument and the ability to read music. Needed instrumentation includes: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium (baritone), tuba and percussion.

No audition is required, but organizers ask that interested community members please call 838-8472 or message the Minot Community Concert Band Facebook page to ensure music is prepared to accommodate the number of musicians.
