MSU Theater Arts Department announces spring play

While there is still a nip in the air, Minot State University says love is in the air too as they prepare for their spring production, “Honeymoon in Minot.”

Written by MSU Alumni Dan Fagan, the play will be directed by Aili Davidson Smith and performed April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. in Aleshire Theater.

“Honeymoon in Minot” follows newlyweds Howie and Larissa as they are looking forward to spending their winter honeymoon in Key West. Unfortunately, as is common in North Dakota, bad weather has other plans. When their plane is diverted mid-flight to Minot, the newlyweds find themselves in a place very different than their planned honeymoon destination. Grounded until further notice, Howie and Larissa must survive the frigid cold, eccentric locals, helicopter parents and a cat and mouse chase with drug runners.

The box office will open 30 minutes before the performance. Aleshire Theater is located in Hartnett Hall on MSU Campus.

Tickets are general admissions and cost $10 per person. MSU students, faculty and staff with a current MSU I.D. can attend for free. Reservations are not necessary.

Special accommodation seating or any questions regarding this production can be made by calling 858-3172.
