Moccasin making workshop offered at Knife River Indian Villages
STANTON – A moccasin making workshop is being offered at Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near Stanton on March 23.
This ranger-led experience will provide an overview of Native American footwear styles with a focus on Plains hard-sole moccasins. Participants will be provided with materials and instruction to create their own moccasins.
The program starts at 1 p.m. at the park Visitor Center, and will be about three 3 hours long. It is free of charge and all supplies will be provided. Participation is limited to the first 15 participants. Call 745-3300 to reserve a space.
