Request for Proposal

The Fort Berthold Housing Authority

is requesting for 2 and 3 bedroom

modular homes to replace 21 homes

on the Fort Berthold Indian Reser-

vation. Homes will be approximately

1200-1600 Square Feet. Proposals

should not include foundations. Pro-

posals will be for a turn-key home in-

cluding, all stitching and seaming of

exterior and interior, all HVAC,

plumbing and electrical except for

electrical, water, and sewer connec-

tion. No proposals for manufactured

homes or homes built on metal

I-beams will be considered. Dead-

line for proposals will be July 2,

Board Special Meeting

June 7, 2021 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Tollefson called the meeting

to order at 6:34 p.m. with topic being

lawn care maintenance for the City

properties including all park proper-

ties in town. Park Board President

Steve Quist introduced local resident

Kris Spaulding who expressed that

he would be interested in contracting

services for both entities separately

to cover the mowing, trimming, and

beatification needs in the entire City.

Mr. Spaulding verbally proposed a

6-month plan with billing being in-

voiced on a month-to-month basis

for hours worked and stated he

would also be willing to help with

snow removal needs. All members

agreed they would consider a pro-

posed bid provided on paper with

further direction for the Auditor to get

Mr. Spaulding the Command Labor

hours worked in 2020. Meeting ad-

journed at 7:05 p.m.

DISTRICT NO-41 SURREY,

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

President Ron Aberle called meeting

to order at 5:00 pm. Board members

present Ron Aberle, Dustin Mize,

Steph Munos, and Nicole Wald.

Also, present Superintendent Gerd-

ing, Principal Hansen and Business

Manager Twila Gantzer.

Minutes: M/S/C Wald/Mize to ap-

prove minutes from April 14, 2021.

Roll call vote, all voted yes.

Faculty Representative: Mr Gorthy

presented the board with 4 pictures

of the Mustang. There are several

versions being used but he would

like to have an “official” logo. M/S/C

Mize/Wald to approve picture # 2

with the mouth/tongue being fixed.

Roll call vote, all voted yes.

Superintendent: Mr Gerding present-

ed a bid to replace the heating/air

unit in a classroom in the portable

from Kevin’s Plumbing. Mrs Vollmer

has resigned her position as varsity

boys’ basketball coach. Mr Gerding

will advertise the position immedi-

ately. She is willing to stay on as the

junior varsity coach. An additional

bid for hallway carpet was presented

from I Keatings. Mr Gerding also

shared that he has been working on

the 21-22 school year budget. Mrs

Wald would like to see a plan with

the needs of the school and priori-

tize those items. Mr Mize would like

to see a more secured entry into the

building.

Business Manager’s Report: The

financial reports were presented.

M/S/C Wald/Mize to approve finan-

cial reports as presented and ap-

prove payment of April payroll &

benefits in the amount of $

391,439.89; April board bills: Gen-

eral Fund-$ 11,245.21; Activity

Fund-$ 1,580.17; Food-$ 18,445.45.

Prepaid Check Register: General

Fund-$ 11,779.72; Activity Fund-$

15,105.52; Food-$ 932.81. Roll call

vote, all voted yes.

Tuition Agreement # 91-Out Motion

by Mize to deny. The motion fails for

lack of a second. The board would

like to table until a policy can be dis-

cussed.

Principal: Mrs Hansen presented the

resume for Jenna Johnson for ele-

mentary music teacher. M/S/C

Mize/Wald to approve for Jenna

Johnson for the position. Roll call

vote, all voted yes. Mrs Hansen pro-

vided details for the board for gra-

duation. Mrs Wald will not be in at-

tendance as she is out of town. Mrs

Wald asked about the report from

Advanced Ed. Mrs Hansen stated

that written reports will be available

in about a month.

The next regular board meeting will

be Wednesday, June 9th at 5:00

pm.
