NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that

the City of Minot (Owner) is re-

questing Bids for the construction of

the following Project: 2020 Sewer

Rehabilitation. Bids for the construc-

tion of the Project will be received at

the office of the City Clerk located at

515 Second Avenue SW (Second

Floor), Minot, North Dakota 58701,

until Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at

11:00 AM local time. At that time,

the Bids received will be publicly

opened and read. The Project in-

cludes the following Work: 18,000

LF CIPP Lining 6“, 8”, 10” & 30″

Sanitary Sewer, Reconnect Sanitary

Sewer Services, 20,000 LF Sewer

Line Preparation, Bypass Pumping,

2,000 LF CIPP Lining Storm Sewer,

Mobilization, Contract Bond, Traffic

Control, and other related items.

chase for $75. Potential bidders may

contact the Assistant City Engineer

at 701-857-4100 with any questions.

Each bid must be accompanied by a

separate envelope containing the

bid security in a sum equal to five

percent of the full amount of the bid

and must be in the form of a bidder’s

bond. A bidder’s bond must be exe-

cuted by the bidder as principal and

by a surety, conditioned that if the

principal’s bid is accepted and the

contract awarded to the principal,

the principal, within ten days after

notice of the award, shall execute a

contract in accordance with the

terms of the bid and the bid bond,

and any condition of the City of

Minot, as required by law. A counter-

signature of a bid bond is not re-

quired. If the City of Minot elects to

award a contract to the lowest

responsible bidder, and the lowest

responsible bidder does not execute

a contract within the ten days al-

lowed, the bidder’s bond must be

forfeited to the City of Minot and the

project awarded to the next lowest

responsible bidder. Each bidder

must possess a valid North Dakota

contractor’s license for the full

amount of their bid, as required by

Section 43-07-07 of the North Dako-

ta Century Code. Each bidder MUST

enclose a copy of their Contractor’s

License or Certificate of Renewal, is-

sued by the North Dakota Secretary

of State, in their bid bond envelope,

and each license must be valid and

dated at least 10 days prior to the

date set for bid opening, as required

under Section 43-07-12 of the North

Dakota Century Code. No bid may

be read or considered if it does not

fully comply with the requirements of

Section 48-01.2-05 of the North

Dakota Century Code, and any de-

ficient bid submitted will be resealed

and returned to the bidder immedi-

ately. All Bids submitted and all

Work completed must be as stipulat-

ed in the Agreement. The City of

Minot reserves the right to hold all

Bids for a period of 30 days after the

date of the bid opening, to reject any

or all Bids and to rebid the project

until a satisfactory bid is received,

and to waive any informality or irre-

gularity in any Bid. For all further re-

quirements regarding bid submittal,

qualifications, procedures, and con-

tract award, refer to the Instructions

to Bidders that are included in the

Bidding Documents.

CITY OF MINOT

NOTICE TO CUT TALL WEEDS OR

GRASS

Property owners in the City of Minot

are required to mow weeds or grass,

before they exceed 8 inches tall,

under Chapter 22 (Nuisances) of the

City of Minot Code of Ordinances. If

the tall weeds or grass on a property

is determined to be in excess of 8

inches tall, such weeds or grass

must be cut within 48 hours. Other-

wise, the City of Minot will arrange

for cutting; and the cost of such work

will be assessed against the proper-

ty. No further notice to individual

property owners is required under

Chapter 22. Any questions regarding

tall weeds or grass cutting pro-

cedures should be directed to the

Public Works Department at

857-4140.

CALL FOR BIDS

The School Board of the Maddock

School District #9 of Maddock, North

Dakota, will accept sealed bids for

OTS coal and hauling, preferably

Wyoming coal; for the 2020-2021

school term. Tonnage per trip is ap-

proximately 32-34 tons, with aver-

age of 8 trips per year. Questions

Minot Police Department is re-

questing bids for the purchase of

police vehicles for the 2020 budget

cycle. We are specifically requesting

bids for the 2021 Ford Police Inter-

ceptor Utility Vehicles and we are

hoping to purchase five (5) of the

vehicles this year. A bid specifica-

tions sheet is available on the City

website. The bid envelope shall be

plainly marked, “Bid for 2021 Ford
