Majettes take sixth, Magi seventh at Anderson/Stavn Meet

BISMARCK — The Minot High boys and girls cross country teams travelled to the McDowell Dam in Bismarck for the Anderson/Stavn Meet Saturday.

The Majettes took sixth place at the meet with a team total of 151 points. The Magi took seventh with 207 points.

For the girls race, Fargo Davies took first with 96 followed by West Fargo (101), Bismarck High (120), Grand Forks Central (127), Century (140) and Minot High.

Abby Hoffarth finished in tenth for the Majettes with a final time of 19 minutes 25.45 seconds. Emma Compere finished in 33rd at 20:48.91 followed immediately by Trinity Jessen at 20:49.94. Following close behind were Abbie Wahlund (36th) at 20:53.04 and Lily-ana Campbell (38th) at 20:59.04.

For the boys race, Bismarck Legacy won the meet with 70 points followed by Bismarck Century (76), Grand Forks Red River (85), New Town (120), Bismarck High (141), Grand Forks Central (204) and Minot High.

Top finishers for the Magi include Noah Jacobs at 17:02.77, William Walker-Rozo at 17:11.71, Cameron Goodman at 17:53.66, David Meza at 18:00.41 and Noah Keller at 18:04.91.

The cross country teams are back in action Saturday, Sept. 22, at Milaca High School in Milaca, Minn.
