MSU wrestling’s Eull chases school record in home finale
Minot State senior Mitchell Eull will chase a piece of school history on Tuesday (Feb. 13) when he and his teammates host Northern State for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual beginning at 7 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.
Eull enters Tuesday’s dual tied with Steve Lipp for the most career victories in Minot State history with 85. The senior moved into a tie with Lipp when he defeated Dominic Tudor of Mary last Friday in Bismarck, N.D.
Tuesday will also mark Senior Day for the Beavers as Eull, Dimitri Grivas, Carlos Toledano, Frank Straka, Bryce Broome and Briley Crissler will be wrestling for the final time in the MSU Dome.
Minot State, which enters the dual with a 2-15 overall record and an 0-6 mark in the NSIC, dropped a heartbreaking 16-15 decision to No. 22 Mary last Friday. The Beavers held a 15-13 lead going into the final match, but the Marauders earned a win in the match to claim the victory. Eull (285), Dean Arevalo (125), Keegan Berry (184), Briley Crissler (197) and Zach Berry (157) all recorded victories for the Beavers against Mary.
Eull leads the Beavers with 23 wins on the season, while Zach Berry has 18 wins. Arevalo has registered 14 wins for the year, while Keegan Berry has 13 wins and Briley Crissler has won 10 matches.
Northern State enters the dual with an overall record of 2-12 and an NSIC mark of 0-6.
