MHS boys move past Legacy

BISMARCK – The Minot High boys basketball team got ahead and stayed ahead Saturday, taking down Bismarck Legacy 72-57 on the road.

“I thought defensively we were really good for large portions of the game,” MHS coach Dean Winczewski said. “In the second half we were really efficient offensively. A really good all-around effort.”

Chandler Albertson and Jaxon Gunville each led the Magi with 17 points. Peyton Lamoureux was the other MHS player in double figures with 10. Jason Hoekstra led Legacy with 16 points.

MHS is back in action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a road contest with Bismarck St. Mary’s.
