Rudolph named NSIC North Player of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Minot State senior Tyler Rudolph has been selected as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

Rudolph helped the Beavers begin the season with a pair of double-digit victories by averaging 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor.

Rudolph opened the season by scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the Beavers 84-70 win against Southern Arkansas. He followed that up by pouring in a career-high 37 points as Minot State defeated Henderson State 78-50 to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Rudolph was 14-of-20 from the floor against Henderson State and 7-of-7 from the free throw line. He also grabbed six rebounds and blocked a shot.

With his combined 47 points, Rudolph moved into fifth place in the Minot State career scoring list and now has 1,404 career points.

Minot State returns to action on Tuesday (Nov. 14) as it hosts Mayville State at 7 p.m. in the Minot State Dome.
