MSU’s Rafferty named Goalkeeper of the Week
BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Sophomore Erin Rafferty received Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the first time this season, the league announced Monday.
The Littleton, Colo. native tallied one shutout and posted 14 saves in the two wins last week.
Rafferty broke the Minot State single-season shutout record in a 1-0 win vs. Concordia-St. Paul, recording three saves in her eighth shutout of the season.
She set a career-high with 11 saves in a 2-1 win in double overtime over No. 13 Minnesota State on Sunday.
Rafferty ranks 18th nationally with a .875 save percentage and 28th with a .547 goals-against average.
Minot State travels to Northern State on Friday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. before hosting MSU Moorhead on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
