MSU volleyball swept by No. 5 Minnesota Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minot State women’s volleyball team fell to No. 5 Minnesota Duluth in three sets (16-25, 9-25, 9-25) in Duluth, Minn. on Friday night.

The loss drops the Beavers to 4-17 (0-12 NSIC) while the Bulldogs improve to 18-2 (11-1 NSIC) on the season.

Emily Falldorf led the Minot State attack with seven kills. Hayley Swain and Jeanne Brenner added four kills apiece.

Kelsey Dewulf paced the offense in dishing out 17 assists.

Freshman Karli Koza posted a team-high 10 digs, followed by Shelby Spuller with eight digs. Brileigh Boyce and Swain both recorded one block.

The Beavers hit .185 in the first set and .046 overall in the match.

Minot State returns to action tomorrow, as they travel to play at St. Cloud State at 1 p.m. Links to live stats and audio are available on msubeavers.com.
