Special reservation lion hunt opened

NEW TOWN – The latest in a series of reported mountain lion encounters has prompted the Natural Resources Council to authorize a special mountain lion hunting season on a portion of the Fort Berthold Reservation. Fred Poitra, director of Three Affiliated Tribes Fish and Wildlife Division, made the announcement on Tuesday.

The “Help is Here Express” bus tour stopped at Marketplace Foods in Minot Tuesday to offer individuals help finding prescription assistance programs.

The tour, which is part of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, seeks to help the uninsured and financially struggling find information on programs that provide prescription medications for free or nearly free.
