rickrod, you ranted about taxes in response to bruce. Then, you went off topic. This is about Vikings building a dome, not about the feds(Pomeroy) failing send money and write a budget(Conrad) to carry through with the money for infrastructure. Dalrymple's budget may carry the day. But back to the poll. So it isn't about building the dome; it is about your fear of losing the Minn Vikings? hmmmm really, I don't care.
So tell me how much money will Minneapolis loose out on if the Vikes go to LA? And what business is it of ours anyway? Do you pay taxes in Minnesota? NO, we should be more concern about the inadequate Pre Planning done by the North Dakota Republican party for the Oil Impact on roads/housing/rental units/impact on Cities by the heavy oil expansion. Yup the ND republicans clam they are responsible for the economic oil boom, so they should also be responsible for the poor planning or no planning done on there part for the impact in western ND, and not worry about something 55o miles away. But the Minot Republican Daily news would never ask those questions.
Rickrod, does every commercial building get subsidized by the government? No. Do they pay property tax? Generally, yes. They should pay property tax, sales tax, income tax and every other tax that the government wants from every other business. the Vikings are using the public amenities such as water, sewage, police department, fire department; therefore, it should be their choice to build a new doom with their own money as well as contribute to the expense of doing business there. Now, maybe no business in that area pays property tax, then no, they shouldn't either.
If the Vikings are made to pay for the new stadium then no taxes should be charged on anything at the stadium, and they should not have to pay property tax. bruce does that sound fair?
