Do you think the debate over the existence or non-existence of climate change is really about the science or more about politics?

Right-wingers, do I have to tell you that the correct answer from your perspective is science.

No, the scientists haven't politicized the science, the non-scientists have politicized the science.

Climate change is happening for sure but it always has been changing, it changed before mankind ever existed and it will continue to change after we are all gone...... to me this is not a political issue but the lefties have done their best to tie it into politics every chance they get. I know some lefty nut job will have this post deleted just like they do with any post that has the truth in it.

I like global warming. Without it my house would be under a few hundred feet of ice! However, if the Mouse River never formed from the runoff of the melting glaciers, we wouldn't have flooded. So the 2011 flood MUST be the fault of climate change, right lefties?

Predictably, the GOP parrots rush in to stupidly defend pollution -- when the true conservative position would be to protect the environment and CONSERVE resources.

Not one of you FOX worshipers has the brains to see the hypocrisy of so-called "Christian" conservatives arguing AGAINST conserving God's "earth and all that is on it." That's not from a scientist; that's from the Bible.

This lockstep embrace of ridiculous right-wing talking points that defy common sense is what made Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal beg the GOP to "stop being the stupid party."

PoeticJustice7 when did this turn into conserving? I thought the question was about climate change, there you go twisting facts to fit your needs. I'm conservative but that doesn't mean I don't use the resources God gave us to survive with!!! but it does mean I think we should use them wisely and take care of the earth while doing so. If you think this world is ever going to be able to run with out oil, coal and natural gas you are crazy!!! Wind power and solar are never going to be able to replace them as ways of powering vehichles for transportation. I like the fact we are using wind and solar but there use is very limited.

So are you saying that global warming has NOT been going on for thousands of years? We were covered in ice after all. For some reason though, the left think that they are so powerful that they can even change the climate for an entire planet. Tell me about that hole in the ozone layer PJ, what ever happened to that story? That's alright though, keep paying Al Gore, the inventor of the internet and global savior.

That's more FOX NEWS debate talking point crap.

I'm saying even if you deny science altogether -- it's just common sense to limit pollution.

End of discussion. Only a fool would disagree.

And only a fool would argue that -- until we have 100% proof that man-made pollution is negatively effecting the environment -- we should just go right on polluting.

If the EPA is involved it is political, no way around it. EPA was started by politicians to make a legal kickback system for the good ol boys.
