The actual price of gasoline -- minus all the government subsidies -- is $15.00 per gallon.
You can't delete the truth!

Un Happy jack conveniently forgets to mention that when it came time for tax cuts OUR Republican party gave them to the ones who needed it the least. Reagan declared war on the middle class and OUR Republican party have been very busy carrying out the Gipper's orders.

yes, bilGRRR...if we justa coulda get rid of that middle class, make them all low class like those currently voting for our Party, then we of the Democrat Party WOULD have all three branches of government locked up forever...the house, the senate and the presidency....now THAT is moving forword...
billgrr, don't worry about that "getting the presidency and the Senate" thingy. We'll be doing our level best to take care of that issue come November.
No perdickshuns. Just the effort.

Being a proud member of the Republican party I must say if we could have only gotten the Presidency and the Senate we could have finished off that pesky middle class.

billGRRR....I feel if we justa would have gotten control of the House, we justa could have raised the gas tax to cut consumption of this CO2 pollutant...and we coulda got the price above $5...

I hope they find the guilty party of the spill and charge them accordingly...the Burlington/minot fire dept. spent substantial resources out their from what I hear....it should be good training for bigger spills to come!
No big oil in Old Settler's must have been someone dumping oil after they changed it in the family car.
In 1970, gas was about 32 cents and a new car was about $4,000. Gas is 12 times that much today while the new car is only 5 times that much. A $3 breakfast in 1980 is only $12 today or 4 times as much. Housing, higher ed., medical and fuel r leading inflation--because they can.
