Why keep caged animals? They should be released in their own habitat. **** I hate zoos

Go to city council meeting if you want to see a zoo in action, free of charge.
Once upon a time the Roosevelt Park Zoo had free admission, then it went all yuppiefied, the new managers and park board thought everybody should pay to view the zoo animals and now the zoo is nothing like it once was, so I never go there anymore. It was a beautiful park at one time and then everybody and their brother had to have some new changes until it has become a place where hardly anybody goes anymore, except to swim a few times over the summer months, and that is young people on a hot day.
Take down the god awful concrete pillars that are there for some reason and remove the parking lot near the zoo and make it a lawn and park like it once was and the park will be beautiful again like it used to be but it won't happen so it is a park not worth visiting anymore.
Sad, it was one beautiful park and now the beauty is gone.
Money ruined it.
