Interesting how both PJinfinity and billgrr are SO invested in telling ND how big a moocher state it is.

So they live here? And have this attitude?

The quoted "statistics" are relevant especially to those who have it in for ND, because as red neck was saying, one can spin stats to come up with whatever message one wants.

Are PJinfinity and billgrr running for office to correct these horrible inequities? Are they working to elect those that would correct these horrible inequities?

Is Sen. Heitkamp to their liking? She plans to bring home bacon for ND, just like Sen. Hoeven and Rep. Cramer. It is how the current game is played.

Do something more constructive with your time and air: kwitcherbeefin' and work to elect a corrector. The tired old talking points are that and more. Start doing rather than saying. Then come back and preach.

Poverty could be abolished if people were just allowed to keep their minimum wage where it is.

You can't -- and apparently there are other geniuses who can't find the stats. That's why I'm posting the link right here:

a person can find the ststistics of anything and it will look the way it favores but if a person gets all the picture and looks at it objectivly, then you have a better opinion

It's no secret that North Dakota gets back TWO DOLLARS in federal tax money for every ONE paid in.

It's hilarious that you Tea-Anderthals now choose to pretend you can't locate your own state's budget stats!

Try Google, you mugwumps.

Round and round we go. The whole "your moochers are worse than our moochers" thing is wearing a bit thin these days, don't you think?

"and the only way a farmer gets the subsidies is to buy federal crop insurance"

You can try to justify, equivocate and explain it away all you want. The reality is this:

North Dakota is the nation's Top 6 Taker State.

Federal funds make up 41.3% of North Dakota's budget. It is, by definition, a welfare state.

Monolithic politics don't work well for any party, person or cause. People of all persuasions make choices with their lives, good or bad.

I'm glad the food pantries are there for those who need them.

I agree with Justaman as it concerns assistance for folks in need. Even Jesus said we'd always have the poor with us. What bugs me is choosing to stay poor in order to expect assistance.

"Justaman.. If people are using the food pantry they are Democrats.. Its a common thread in the Democratic party.. It goes like this .. Abortions/baby killers=Democrats.Food Stamps/Free Food=Democrats Welfare Recipents=Democrats..Mediciad=Democrats."

Wanted to C/P this before I print it out and hang on my office wall.

I feel also that this should be posted at every food pantry across America to what JackA would consider moving the country forword.....

So this statement pretty much sums you & yours.....

That my friends is the Republican game; keep the people poor and stupid and they’ll keep voting for the man preaching religion and freedom. It’s that simple, it’s the same thing they’ve been practicing in totalitarian regimes for centuries.

"Justaman"

Here's some well known facts to chew on landslide;

Republican held states are the takers when it comes to welfare. In 2010, 20 out of 22 (91%) Republican controlled States took more money from the federal government than they paid in taxes. Democratic States had 11 out of 28 (39%) taking more than they gave.

Food stamps or SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) as it’s now called is another program shunned by republicans, so much so that they now want to double the cuts toward the program. However, just like welfare, The 47 million Americans that make up food stamp recipients are concentrated mostly in Republican controlled states.

Unsurprisingly, public education in red states is below their blue counterparts and below the national average. It should be noted that most red states have also seen a decrease of high school graduates in the last 15 years.

No, I mean the ****** from Bozeman, MT who hasn't set foot on that property in southern Idaho for over 4 yrs who's collecting $128K a year on some conservation program his Tea Party candidate shoved thru to get his vote!!!

Just once Landslider, tell us about all those WHITE FOLKS who are poor, who are on welfare, who abuse the system and vote Republican! They're your neighbors, they domicile the midwest/south but they're everywhere except in your mind!

Which be itself says there's not much room for the truth in there.....

"but welfare pays Garr, Justa, and the hyiena with a welfare check every month sent to their house.."

This psychological inequity you've been brainwashed with really gets you landslide, doesn't it!!!

Speaking for myself, I have never needed subsistence in any form whether it was public or private. This makes me UNBIASED in how it is conceived, funded & dispersed!!!

This allows myself to understand the politics, the demographics who receive and the ones who continually give without getting back!

At this point, I favor the ones who are thankful and not the ones who expect!

Unfortunately, corporate America to include farmers are the ones who expect and they have lobbyists at their disposal.....Masterful contempt if you think about it!!!
