Got propaganda in kids backpack yesterday, of course breaking things down to monthly amounts, scam.

it looks like the majority of people see the wast and poor management that is taking place
One thing remains the same here, no matter what the MDN does...
billgrr's "hate filled one sided vitriol" against all who disagree with him.

And, the No's have it again.

The YES Committee must have been on vacation. Seriously, they are trying reverse physcology this time. They are not asking for a Yes, but want a yes. They are not asking for $125, but want it in smaller amounts. Very sneaky, which is why you need to keep the children in mind when you Vote NO.

It's fun to vote Republican and pretend to be rich . . . until the bill arrives. Suddenly you hoople-moochers are reminded that you can't afford to keep pretending.

You all never saw this coming? Big thanks in part with one poster having multiple accounts.
Vitriol indeed; look into your own mirror and why the Minot Daily put up with it this long should be the next poll question.

Statewide vote is all that's needed to change nd constitution and allow state land fund use.
Vote NO, keep taxes LOW

Voting No, again and again, period!
landslide: are you seriously so naive that you can not comprehend the financial benefit that a local university brings to a community? Somehow I'd bet that you're fine with churches being exempt from paying taxes, and I'd bet you find the airforce base helpful to our local economy. However, when the entity in question provides education and research, it suddenly fails your contribution calculus.

muleskinner: statoil contributes to the wealth fund precisely because Norway is a socialist country. If you think that such policy is beneficial to the state as well as its population, then I suggest you reconsider your staunch opposition to all things progressive. It does seem odd that an oil company can extract 'liquid gold' from US lands, and keep virtually all the profit from the enterprise. It would indeed be nice if the people could benefit from our national resources; it seems that instead we just get stuck dealing with the unintended consequences.

The MDN is becoming a left wing rag and to prove it by taxing us more to read and comment in it.
It's about time liberals like garr have to pay taxes or for services received. He after all contributed to their move(modifying blog) as their effort to control him failed. He and other liberals were joyful in their efforts to destroy the paper they so often criticized.

One thing sticks in my craw.
Statoil is 2/3 owned by Norway's government, a state-owned oil company. The sovereign wealth fund of Norway grows with Statoil's contributed earnings. The people of Norway benefit from Statoil's oil revenues.
How come North Dakota's oil is helping the people of Norway gain in prosperity and North Dakotan's are given short shrift?
Shouldn't that raise a red flag?
The very least the State of North Dakota can do is help the people of this state just as Statoil helps and contributes to the welfare and benefit of Norwegians.
So, yes, the State of North Dakota has dropped the ball and there is no excuse whatsoever that oil revenues from this state can't be used to help out in one way or another.
I suggest the State of North Dakota find a way and soon to do what is desperately needed now.
Have fun finding the way because that is what is going to happen.
If Norway can do it, the State of North Dakota can do it too.

North Dakota acts like the poor poor Orphan of the States dressed in rags and holes in shoes. But in Reality North Dakota has 6-8 Billion in Rainy Day Funs Reserve which Is by Law Locked away !!
The Co$t to build aditional Schools should not Fall on the backs of property owners when 2 cents of every Oil revenue dollar would take care of this once and for all.North Dakota Property Owners need some serious Relief and soon !!

Considering the farm subsidy freebies -- "plant to vote" should be the state motto.

Let the school land trust fund pony up some money.
If oil companies would not have set foot in North Dakota, the state would not be experiencing the turmoil it has seen since 2007 or so.
It is a money grab by hucksters, con men, making it look like it's a bond issue.
The State of North Dakota can swallow its foolish pride and really do something to help the people of this state, otherwise all they are is collectivists disguised as Republicans and Democrats.
Stop with the robbing, pillaging, and raping of this state.
Please, do it for your own good.
Thanks in advance.
