Will Garr, that is why I said Unsure. A lot of people plant the good and bad together, that is why it was illegal. We have a lot of people dying under fertilizer tanks making meth. I voted UNSURE. whether you like my OPINION or not, I will give it.

Did the ND legislature not pass a law that should the Federal gov't allow for the cultivation of hemp we would allow it too. The Supremacy clause should take care of the issue anyhow.
4 Agrees | 1 Disagrees | Report Abuse »
i think the hemp is more of a fiber product and a person would have to smoke about an acre to get enough thc in the body to effect them it is how it is engineered.

Cannabis and hemp were/are direct competition to alcohol and nylon/polyester....just another fine example of how are "FREE" markets work here in the land of LOBBYISTS....Socialism for the rich ...Capitalism for the rest.

Only one good reason not to is in the southern states cannabis grows wild everywhere and could be a noxious weed. But if it is that prolific it would be an easy crop to grow and would need very little fertilizer if any and no chemical costs.
Anybody familiar with spurge wishes somebody would invent a good use for it too.

China has 150,000 hectares of hemp acreages, soon to be a million, so the United States doesn't really need to grow hemp. Canada has a hemp industry and agricultural system in place, so they are years ahead in the logistics.
Russia grew hemp in the region where Chernobyl melted down and released radioactive clouds, and the hemp crops cleaned the radioactive soil in and around the nuclear power plant. It has great potential as a cash crop, but the US doesn't need to grow it, just those other countries who are capable of doing so should.
The US don't need no stinkin' hemp crop.

DuPont, and other individuals and corporations worked diligently during the first few months of World War II to find a way to replace Asian silk and hemp with nylon in parachutes....it all goes back to guess what?...the military industrial complex that Ike warned us all about in his farewell speech.
