Aww, Veritas' post about Pretty Woman got bumped. And no, I didn't do it, and I don't know why it happened, so don't ask me.
the only reason to watch the state of the union is to see how big obamas nose grows.

Pretty Woman? That junk?
When I say "classic" I mean westerns from the 30s, 40s, 50s. I mean great John Ford or John Huston movies. John Wayne: no more need be said. Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre, Sidney Greenstreet: those 3 did some excellent stuff. Alfred Hitchcock was a GREAT director: even his early stuff has precision.
Pretty Woman? You've got to be kiddin' me...

C'mon, Veritas, Matt had me when he posted the following:
"modern gladitorial games"
I am THERE in the Modern Colosseum, i.e., viewing what comes over the airwaves. Or not. Popping in a classic video is always an alternative.

"Of Course Presidents Lie"
cnn . com/2013/11/24/politics/presidents-lie/
According to this article, lying is masterful politics, worthy of a Machiavellian prince.
All presidents are human, prone to err. There hasn't been, nor ever will be, a person we can call "the infallible president."
Then it's back to...will this lie hurt me?

This is what the government is saying to millions of Americans who don’t want or need certain coverage, including, for instance, older women — and men — who are being forced to pay for maternity care. Such overcharging is necessary to pay for the poor and the sick signing up for Obamacare or for the newly expanded Medicaid.
At least Darth Vader was honest about his bait-and-switch: “I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”

I'll come to muleskinner's defense once and for the following reason:
Which of us doesn't use the strongest, the most persuasive language possible when we're trying to drive home a point?
willgrr has brought out the big guns whenever he makes his beef posts about Republicans. I don't think he'd consider himself as effective by doing the opposite of drama and just wanly pointing out, "those republicans are just mean, that's what."
"Plethora of word salad" also sounded good, willgrr. VERY dramatic...

No matter what Veritas sez, I still like this post.

"loco,.... never to the point of wanting to kill myself."
Good for you, willgrr, good for you.
So let's see, either the modern gladiatorial games based on physical strength and the only people who get hurt are willing participants, or the modern gladiatorial games based on political strength and well-connectedness and many of the people who get hurt are unwilling participants.
Yeah. I know which one I'd rather watch.

You libs follow liars becasue its the only way you can feel good about yourselves..You need to lie and exagerate to potray an image.. Obama told Lie after Lie to get reelected.. He cannot stand himself and who he really is..He has to lie and exagerate to fell good about himself.
Perfect definition of a Patological Liar!!!

What you do is called ad hominem. It is done by you on a constant basis and you want to turn the tables once again.
Now is as good a time as any to start thinking about killing yourself, but I urge you to not. You won't have to waste your time here and It won't be necessary to waste anymore of my time retorting to the idiocy that you begin and then never stop. You do it all of the time and then try to make fools of everybody. You can stop anytime.
Anybody willing to listen to Obama speak does have a problem, so it is easy to understand why you do.

willgrr: "I never allowed any one to get under my skin."
Then how do you explain the oft-stated phrase "never, ever vote for a Republican?"

It is in willgrr's interest to do away with the competition, right?
Self-interest usually trumps altruism in politics.

For people "...to actually understand the truth that the President will tell them" it might be an advantage to start with the truth, being as the President has been proven a liar at least once. Like most humans...
The results of the poll question speaks volumes. Nobody wants to listen to Obama and the 1 in 10 who do are probably required to listen to him babble on for an hour.
Another fate worse than death for the 10 percent who are subjected and be forced to listen to the duplicitous, pathetic fool Obama.
You have to pity them.

No, it's the truth. I have tried to listen to Obama. You can listen for a while, then you soon realize he is not making a speech, he is preaching. Doesn't take long to not listen. I have listened intently, giving the man every benefit of the doubt. I have heard too much and is no longer worth the while.
It is a fate worse than death to try to listen to what he says. He never says anything of substance.
No lie, all truth. Oblabber is a liar.
So, now you want to encourage people to kill themselves. You would rather partake in the crime rather than preventing one. Another typical criminal disguising themselves as a human being. You're a bonafide nut case.
Will people be more willing to drink beer at the Super Bowl or while watching Obama spew more prevarications, one after another, which drives people to drink?
It's more fun to watch the Super Bowl and be entertained while drinking beer.
It is a fate worse than death to listen to somebody lie all of the time and never keep a promise, cause lives to be disrupted, make life miserable for everybody.
I'd rather kill myself.
To keep me from doing that, beer drinking is the only choice.
