In past, but hardly ever. -25 to -40 with 20mph winds doesn't make outdoor skating fun.

I grew up skating on the river, and once in a while we would come into town to skate. We bundled up and skated for hours. Friends of mine skated every day after school. So much fun! Poor chillins today are just frail to be outside.

No you gotta load em up in a $50000.00 SUV haul em with $4.00 gas to an in door rink paid for by all the working people who aren't smart enough to know how to spend their own money,so the little angels can show off their new duds to all their friends!

Wish that was it 4 skating. Much cheaper than keeping ice on the indoor rinks plus heating the building plus all that hockey agenda. but, spend it like u got it. (except when it comes to schools and flood control)

If schools were given money from state who would complain or sue? We ain't gonna sue ourselves for doing it. I say just give the money, build the schools and do what's right.

Geesh, people in this town complain a lot. Keep your money, don't use tax dollars to build stuff to do. So now you have all your money and you sit in your house a look at each other in total boredom because Minot has nothing to do but we saved our tax dollars.
There are a few in $50,000 SUV's but there are a bunch that show up in much less and get to skate at a facility built by their city and have fun, build social skills and teamwork. This is something lacking in our little world right now. Maybe, just maybe by doing things like this, they can stay away from the drugs and alcohol and not be burning down playground equipment and vandalizing schools.
Too bad there wasn't a skating rink in South Minot for kids........
