Real trees have become pretty pricey! Also I think it is an awful waste,it takes a long time for a evergreen to get to be 5 or 6 ft. tall, and they are a beautiful living thing. Merry Christmas to all!!

Waiting on school bond vote. If it's passed, then I'll have to go without a tree, as I have to save up to pay more taxes. If it's voted down and sent to the state for funding, then I'll put the tree up, celebrate the birth of Christ and celebrate the future of our children. Vote NO.

"FIX IT NOW!" screeched the MDN editors about the health care website.

"We all know what happened when the site went live Oct. 1. It was quickly overwhelmed and crashed, and major problems persist!" the MDN barked.

The entire Obama administration was indicted over the glitches in the ACA website.

But when their own website goes down for three days, the smart-mouths at the Minot Daily News don't have a single word to say.

There are tree farms all over this country (even in North Dakota). They replant after each season and usually the old trees make it to the lake for the habitat.Dont try to make it sound like they are stripping the land like the oil industry is doing.Pricey, yes, but well worth it .

Yes. The same could be said about the entire Republican Party -- which Bobby Jindal dubbed "The Party of Stupid."

My tree is green real and decorated.. When its time to be done with it will be used in the yard to hang bird feeding stations on thru the rest of the winter..

the birds love it.. and so do the grandkids. they like seeing the birds come for the food they hung on the tree.. The older ones call it the Birds Christmas..

Come spring it will be mulched and recycled..used in the yard around other trees..

I tried a real tree two years ago and it was nice. Took a bit of upkeep and a lot of cleanup. Used my old fake tree last year but apparently it couldn't support a cat in the branches. Got a fake one this year that is metal underneath the fake needles. Standing up to the cat so far. I think I'll have to try real again....sigh

Yes Obama sold us out to the big insurance companies and lied about it landslide....no comparison to a trillion dollar war the orphaned almost a million children in Iraq for no good reason, except to appease the military industrial complex.

IN other words, "those people's" lies are so much more egregious while your side's lies really aren't so bad, if they even exist at all. ONce again, you are another blind partisan who can't see beyond your pretend left/right dichotomy.
