"Good job, loco. Way to research. That is close to a first for you."

This is meant to be read with "sarc" on.

So centerish is sticking with her story that the "Republican sponsored" sequester is responsible for hospital closings?

It seems she's forgotten some sequester facts...

WA Post "The sequester’s origins can’t be blamed on one person — or one party. Republicans insisted on a trigger for automatic cuts; Jack Lew, then the White House budget director, suggested the specifics, modeled after a sequester-like mechanism Congress used in the 1980s, but with automatic tax increases added. Republicans rejected the latter but, at the time, took credit for the rest. Obama took the deal to get a debt-ceiling increase. But he never accepted the prospect that the sequester would occur, nor did he ever agree to take tax increases off the table."

Good job, loco. Way to research. That is close to a first for you. But, my comment was to the closing of hospitals due to Obamacare when it actually was not affecting them. As you read the sources, the sequester did the major damage and people without health care did the rest. But, you go ahead and swim in your little right wing world with the rest of the hate mongers and believe that the portions of Obamacare that did go into effect caused these closures. Must be nice to be in lala land all the time.

PJ14 And where is Obama and his apology.. Oh thats right he does no wrong..

575 US troops died in Afghanistan during the Bush presidency. By August 18, 2010, following two troop surges initiated by President Obama, that number had doubled. Today, over 1500 US troops have died in Afghanistan since President Obama took office—and yet, little in that war-torn country has changed.

Come on boy speak up How come Obama the guy who was going to end the war.. still has people dying.. Is his promise like all the rest of them just another fling LIE!!!!

Where is his apology????? Troll!!!

Obamacare became law on March 23, 2010. Since its passage, the insurance and healthcare industries have been poring over the pages (and pages and pages) of the various mandates and regulations of the thing in order to start being compliant by...wait for it...2010.

Yes, Obamacare aka PPACA began implementation in 2010 and in all the years since, not just six months ago. Where have you been, centerish?

"That negative trend will be aggravated by sequestration, the automatic federal spending cuts that went into effect this month. It will reduce Medicare payments by 2 percent and could result in the loss of 12,000 rural hospital jobs, from nurses to support staff, according to Slabach. " March, 2013.----"Financial problems recently led Calhoun Memorial Hospital in Arlington in southwest Georgia to close its doors. Earl Whiteley, the hospital's CEO, cited as a major reason the increase in charity care that the 25-bed facility incurred. "You just can’t continue to give away free care," Whiteley said in a recent interview."==== So what is the assumption? Well, there are many reasons why small hospitals are closing and not all are from Obama care. Just the fact, Joe.

Well, Ronald Kessler, hmmm. let me see, books on the CIA, Secret Service, etc. Look him up on fact check. Well, back to the article. So, the cuts in Medicare would be the problem . Since this article was written in 2012. Lets find some more current articles, like march of 2013 or later.

You really don't know what you are talking about, do you whistler? Now, where did you get that stuff about higher deductible payments. Is that like it is now and they must take everyone who goes to the ER and know that they must treat them and get nothing. You have no basis for this argument. Lost again.

Now, lets focus on the U.S. News article about the top hospitals. That one is a little harder to decipher because it involves which plans the hospitals will accept as well as what is being offered. Since the plans are just going into effect, I am assuming (wrongly, of course in your eyes) that a lot of this will be worked out between the insurers and the hospitals/doctors. Having been to Children's Hospital in Seattle often, I realize the need to be able to access this fine facility without the hassles of what they will accept as a prime carrier. But, I think that I am correct in assuming that they are talking about the policies that would give the rates for Preferred Provider status. So, you can use other policies but they would be treated as out of network facilities and subject to different deductible limitations to the insured. Would that not be correct, oh guru of the medical scene?

I have read both articles twice which is more than you can say. You cherry pick your stuff. But, whistler, that is how you operate. I invite all other bloggers to read the full articles especially the Leonard article and then tell us which part of the Obamacare program was in effect to cause this. Was it having your children on your insurance till 26. Or, was it the children that could go on health care? Or was it the other minor items that started back when. Let us know which one caused this six months ago?

So, lets just say that when you read the article by Leonard, the hospitals cited the sequester but the article is written as if Obamacare helped create the problem. Since the article was written in September, it must have been researched in the summer. Now, what part of Obamacare would have created this problem. Since the full obamacare program is still going into effect, this article should have focused on the cuts from the Republican sponsored sequester and to the tightening of controls to prevent fraud from the problems at the hospitals. It is yet to be seen what the true effects of the full Obamacare will be. Just trying to be factual.

So, you are saying that those hospitals shut down because of the sequester cuts of which, Boehnor got 98% of what he wanted.....Thus, it flys right back to the Republicans. Nice one, thanks for that.

Now, here is a factual comment: OV, I think however that many small Hospitals will close down completely due to ObamaCareless. -- So, if everyone has health care, would there not be more people getting treatment rather than less? Please sit your right wing source for your scare comments. Please???

Such a factual comment on Veritas' statement on health care. $18,000 vs $87,000. Zero payment vs none listed. Well, first of all, if you only paid about nine bucks, you had to have been in medical treatment earlier that year to cover your deductible/co-pay as well. Now, you must have been in the hospital a short time for that low a bill. Looks like that is about three days worth. Now, it is not hard to hit $87,000 with some special care {ICU} or a surgery. Did veritas say what he paid on the bill? So, maybe his insurance is not that bad either. Lucky that both of you can afford coverage. But, I would bet that yours comes with your job as a benefit.

Sorry for the poor example of prices rising VERITAS, how about this, how much was your house worth in 1999, how much was a gallon of milk in 1999, who much was a loaf of bread in 1999? Point being, every time the Administration reduces the interest rates, inflation has to go up, who to thank for that, hmmmm.

If your last hospital stay cost $87,000, you have some really crappy insurance. My last stay was $18,000, with my insurance my share was $8.34, period. Thankfully the ACA will increase my cost by about 83% monthly to try to get the $8.34 down so I can afford to pay it, thank you Obamacare, NOT.

Lefty, if you have 6 DD214's that tells me you can't make up your mind or were unemployable on the outside that gave you 5 breaks in service. You would normally have ONE to cover start to end of your career, just saying.

"Democrats will own an attempt to bring about Health Care Reform that will save American lives...And the Republicans will own the fact they have done nothing...Not a thing!"

I like words, always have. I've seen one word in particular see more usage this year than in the past. That word? "Feckless"...

It means "effect-less" which describes what has happened between the theory behind Obamacare and the reality of the Obamacare rollout.

Just not what it was supposed to be, eh?

When I once brought up HSA's (Health Savings Accounts) as an alternative, one lib was vocal in his derision, but wouldn't explain why he thought it wouldn't be good. Typical.

But isn't this the point? Libs don't want to discuss alternatives to Obamacare or single-payer. It seems their universe-view won't accept alternatives for people that they, the libs, can't control.

Do they think people are incapable of making decisions about their healthcare? Do they want it to look t

Obama gets so much grief. Couldn't be because he is black?

Or could he be because he is arrogant and very unqualified to be in a leadership position.

And for the record he doesnt have a DD214!!!!
