The tolerant, compassionate lefties on here are sure rude to Missy.
She doesn't "deserve" their compassion.
Welcome to Healthcare 2013 and beyond.
There are sources who claim that the dropping of policies was known beforehand (that makes the lie bigger), and that this was intentional, in order to pave the way for a single-payer system.
Power Grab, pure and simple

Obama has done nothing like Bush who murdered 5,000 American Troops, and injured 50,000 American troops on a War started by Bush on all Lies. Bush should should be tried for War crimes. And how do you Repubs like spending 2 trillion on a War which we didn't need to fight? What could we do with 2 Trillion in the good old US.

Is this how progressives wish to characterize themselves? Really?
Michelle Malkin (warning: conservative columnist, toxic to liberals) posted something recently, which corresponds to some of what OV is saying...
townhall . com/columnists/michellemalkin/2013/11/13/bros-and-hos-obamacares-bread-and-circuses-n1745407/page/2
"The "Got Insurance?" campaign is the lame brainchild of two "progressive" outfits with dubious nonprofit status: ProgressNow and the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative.
"Aimed at young women, the ads show party gals with shot glasses lined up on a ski; "Hey, Girl" gags involving a cutout of actor Ryan Gosling; and the Sandra Fluke-inspired promo featuring birth control-wielding "Susie" and her "hot to trot" date, Nate. The caption reads:
"Let's Get Physical. OMG, he's hot! Let's hope he's as easy to get as this birth control. My health insurance covers the pill, which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers. I got insurance. Now you can

Personally, I think describing North Dakotans as beer-guzzling Republican supremacist Neanderthals is a trifle obsessive and weird. Somebody should get over it. Really.
Trick/dick is reserved for Bill Clinton..
Had to look his age up this morning.. he looks like hes 90 years old but in fact he is only 67..
Doesnt look healthy.. probably won't live much longer..
Another Prez raised by his grandparents..
Obama will go down in history as the first black President
Obama will go down in history as the first Presdient to apply Dictatorship to the entire Population of America..
Obama will go down as the First president to make people PAY for something they don't want.
Obama will go down as the biggest liar and the worst president in the history of this United States..
Obama will go down as the guy who found every dumb kid in America and begged them to vote so he could get his chance to destroy this nation..
Yes Obama is the biggest liar, the most deceitful and the biggest divider this country has ever had..

No question in my mind..
I've lived thru many more years of political seasons then most on here and without a doubt Obama has told more lies, been more underhanded and created more hate and discontent then any other Prez in history..
History will show it when the chapters are written..
Even Clintons playdates didnt impose on the American Public.. Nor did the Iraq war impose on peoples health insurance across America..
Obama has injected himself into every single persons home here in America..
Some compare it to the beginning of SS and Medicare.. but those only touched the senior population.
Obama has imposed his laws on ALL the people in America from the day they are born until the day they die.

Interesting you should say the Republicans are divided..
Seems its the Democrats beating a path to Obamas office begging for him to get on board with fixing the broken policies..How come they are all of a sudden not on the same page?
Media is making an attempt to divide the Republicans but Republican voters can see right thru this masquerade.
At least Republicans have a mind of their own.. democrats have taken to doing as they are told by hairy reaid and by god don't you dare to think for yourself.. or hairy will beat you with his gavel..
The plot thickens..
The two Democrats are putting forth a bill that says the insurance companies must reinstate these canceled policies for a year.
However the insurance compnaies are getting nervous because Obama promised them all these new customers (new money) with the introduction of Obamacare.
Hard to know if this is all part of the Obama plan to destroy the insurance companies and go to single payer.
With Obama its like dealing with a crook. Can't trust him at all..he is so deceitful.
Worst of all he is gambling with peoples emotions and their ability to get medical care .
Thats about as low as the guy can go. Sorta like stealing money from the blind guys cup.

"They talk about the number of policies cancelled but I bet most of those were families so the actual people dumped from insurance is probably triple what the numbers are.."
Very possible. It's hitting people right in the pocketbook. Some still haven't found employment either, but will still be required to buy insurance, according to the law's mandate.
This isn't working out well, or this is working out well, depending upon your point of view.
For those like NT4M, Obamacare doesn't go far enough. It should be single-payer for everyone.
For those who prefer to make the choice themselves, that's been taken away.
Yep, that's politics: a bill is passed and nobody's happy.
...Sen. Manchin hadn't yet been elected to serve as one of WV's two senators. Then-Sens. Byrd and Rockefeller voted YES for PPACA on 12-24-2009.
For all NoDaks, Sens. Conrad and Dorgan also voted YES for PPACA, after many people in this state were against its passage.

Speaking of rats leaving the ship...
Watched "Ratatouille" with the kids last night - amazing animation of rats milling together - gave me the shivers...
What is this Senate Democrat proposal anyway?
thehill . com
"Two Senate Democrats introduced legislation on Monday aimed at making good on President Obama's promise that if you like your health insurance plan, you can keep it.
"Sens. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) proposed the Keeping the Affordable Care Act Promise Act. Landrieu admitted Monday that the bill is needed because millions of health plans are being canceled under ObamaCare for failing to meet the law's new standards."
Didn't Sens. Landrieu and Manchin vote for PPACA in the first place?
Forbes says "yes" about Sen. Landrieu, referencing the "Louisiana Purchase" - increased fed funds for LA medicaid.
Sen. Manchin hadn't yet been elected to serve as one of WV's two senators. Then-Sens. Byrd and Rockefell

Your probably right..
Should be interesting this next year..
I really do feel sorry for the folks who got their insurance cancelled..
What a horrible feeling and what a horrible Christmas for these folks who do get in to sign up and find out their premiums are double with higher deductibles..
And I fear this is just the very beginning of a steady decline in folks whit any coverage at all.
They talk about the number of policies cancelled but I bet most of those were families so the actual people dumped from insurance is probably triple what the numbers are..

I don't think some of the liberal posters we see here would EVER identify themselves with Republicans, even if it meant losing control/power.
If a Republican president were elected, I can see the liberal posters here doing their level best to knock him down, just as they imagine conservatives do to Pres. Obama.
I could see them throwing back their heads and howling "it's not fair that a Republican was elected" or "it's all fraudulent" or "we're going back to the stone age under this president" no matter the policies or legislation proposed or passed.
Sure, file this one under "perdickshuns."
