What part of "supervision" didn't you get when the police pulled you over and you thought it was funny to toss your cigarette butt in their faces?

Veritas, why would I? We got along just fine.

Did you preach in Oregon Missy?
And what part of, "Supervision, don't you get????
I just got home and unloaded the vehicles. Holy Moly, really Venitas. I only got computer service once in a while. What is your problem. Just attacking conservatives? Well good to know. I observed a lot of traffic from Semi's to which way to go to merging traffic. North Dakota isn't even in it. Do that pulling a camper, without wiping people out.
bdgi, if my kid does any of those things, by all means they have the right to kick him/her out, press charges, whatever. BUT until my kid gives them a reason and gets to school property, they have no say. Also, in Minot, if the are attending Central Campus, there is no school parking lot and is strictly a city of Minot/Police issue.
If I determine that they are not safe driving in "oil country" I will make the call to park the car. Like I said though, some of the ADULTS have no business driving in "oil country". Do we amend the law to restrict teenage drivers in Western ND so they cannot get a license until they are say 21? What about some of the KIDS that drive farm vehicles on the highways?! Wonder how kids get around in a real city with real traffic?

"And in comes VERITAS from left field to turn this into a bashing session. Go back to bed."
Come on 73...Didn't you want to send an editorial to Oregon and thank them for spending your tax dollars on food stamps?
Can't even be honest for a second...
States like Oregon...Those lib states like Oregon...
Stand on the street corner you proud American free speech behind a moniker chickener and spout away!

JKniffin--- It'd be nice if even half the people who want to turn north at Bdwy & 16th Ave SW (that's the Blind Duck intersection for those of you from Rio Linda) knew how to negotiate the turn.
The question...is this an issue?

I wonder if Veritas has ever told his wife "didn't ask you" if she weighed in on a conversation without asking him first...

Missy: "Yes, they have to learn under supervision how to deal with traffic. Driving through Portland, Salem, Eugene, Bend, They better know the mountains and follow the speed limit signs."
Uh, Veritas, what comment about takers out west? I have obviously missed something.
And just why can't I comment on your comment on Missy's comment?
That's not appeasing to me at all.

Naw. That's just girl power, Veritas."
Seriously...Do you think you're "appeasing" anyone with these kind of posts?
Didn't ask you loco...Missy made a comment about all those takers out west and I ask...
Did you repeat to anyone out there what you posted missy?

"Driving through Portland, Salem, Eugene, Bend"
Hey Missy...Did you pull out that sign, "You Liberal Oregon Welfare Takers", on one of those highways and get some feedback?
Just curious if you check your zealotry at the border...Which border was that? Idaho/Oregon or Idaho/Washington...Curious?

I said "yes" because there was no "this is a silly question" option.
Missy gets today's Common Sense award (applause).
And wonder of wonders, I agree with namexxx's post, except the last sentence (which will remain uncopied):
"Schools don't "allow" students to drive or not drive. Schools have no say in such matters. The students can helicopter in if they so choose."
The only say that a school would have in this issue is where will the student park on school property. Now THAT would make a lot of sense, wouldn't it?
You can drive, but you can't park. Why? Because it's not safe and we say so.
Like I said at the beginning, this is a silly question, but I have enjoyed reading the answers.
Schools don't "allow" students to drive or not drive. Schools have no say in such matters. The students can helicopter in if they so choose.
This newspaper *****.
I think some people in Minot shouldn't be driving to work. IDK whats worse, people who don't know how to drive the speed limit, or the idiots who don't know how a 4 way stop works, OR the SOB'S that don't know what a turn signal is.

I agree with you both(hockey and Kniffen) but I must admit that I live in a smaller town and was amazed when a school member told me that they send out a full size bus for one student. Minot for sure, has different problems than the small town I live in.

35% of people currently are completely brainless here in Minot, ND. "Government can I do this, Government can we be allowed this" If you are afraid of the roads, then YOU get off.

There are no "yellow school" buses in Minot unless it is special needs or head start, rural route, etc. Students in the city of Minot either drive, get a ride or ride the "city" bus. They get a reduced rate when purchsing tokens to ride the city bus. The parking lot at Magic City Campus was built in the 1970's with the school, non-issue there. So should they not drive to work either?

Times have changed and the school parking lot has become ‘a million dollar’ show ground for the kids to park and it is not uncommon to see a standard size bus with just one kid in it. Something's wrong with this picture but it is a sign of the times.
