spend, spend, spend, they're all the same! They don't use the facilities they have half the time. When someone wants to use them they charge too much. They forget whose money built that place!

C and D. We have the All Seasons Arena which we have spent loads of magic fund money on. We don't have enough places in Minot that celebrate the History of North Dakota. New board... New board... Don't need it.
They don't even use the State Fair Center hardly. You know more concerts would come here if they dropped their price a little to rent the place, and now they want to build another place??? Man, I tell you what. The only time they even use these place is during the fair. Considering that attendence has been down this year, maybe they outta consider what they did wrong this year. Not spend more money. You want to spend money, booked better rock bands???????????????

Here's a novel idea. Learn how to utilize the existing facilities and generate money without constantly going to the taxpayers rather than building additional facilities utilizing taxpayer money.
Just what we need....another multi-million dollar building in the FLOOD ZONE!!!! NOT!!!

I'm not sure the full history of the ND state fairgrounds. Who actually owns the grounds? Does the city of Minot or the state of ND? I know the state of ND (tax payers) help maintain the grounds and tax payers built the new grandstands. I sometimes wonder if the city of Minot is benefiting from "tax payers" from other parts of the state when it comes to hosting huge events. Why should a "convention" center be built at the state fair grounds? Why not in a different part of Minot? If the state taxpayers would be building the convention center along with upkeep...I'm against this. I may be wrong, but seems like a conflict of interest.
