It is not just the liter in the flooded areas, it is the homes that have not been touched. The dandelions up to your rear etc too. It looks kind of bad in some areas and I hope one of these days, these homes that have been abandoned will be dealt with. Past time....Here where we live in NW there is lots of garbage. Lots from flood debris that has never been removed from flooded homes.

Graffiti has a way of returning overnight. The litter never goes away until earth day and then the litterers from the high school go out and pick up the trash they have been throwing out their windows for the last 12 months. It never will change.
The town has several flooded neighborhoods with blighted areas. Doesn't look good after a couple of years of looking at it. The city needs to pay attention to those areas and forget about a lot of other stuff.
The City of Minot must be content at killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, they never seem to stop trying, anyhow, with their constant property tax increases, the poor golden goose is wearing out fast. Better get as much as you can before she croaks.
and a graffiti problem--I would be willing to help clean up the town of litter and graffiti.

Maybe if we were all less tolerant about the litterbugs throwing crap out, and more reported the violators with our handy mobile phones (the majority are already talking on the things at the time) we'd make a difference one bag at a time. I won't tolerate littering - it is an immediate call to law enforcement with your license plate/description.
It's mostly the to go type fast food wrappers and plastic cups/bottles laying around from what I see. Maybe if ND had trash cans that were not full along the roads some people would use them.

Yes, Minot does have a litterbug problem. The Republicans have littered the town with hatred, violence and death.

Williston works with the many oil companies in Williston. They do a major cleanup twice a year with volunteers (I think the oil companies volunteer their employees for them because many do not look happy picking up trash)They pick up the trash in the ditches from west and south of williston and to the north. (spring and fall) It lasts a few weeks and then it is all back again. With all the construction going on, and workers in vehicles tossing their bags of crap out the window. Not talking just oil workers, but construction workers, local citizens, etc... not all are bad, just the few bad apples that make ruin it for everyone else. But at least it gets cleaned up a couple times a year there.

Let's first start making the contractors to pickup their litter that blows of their construction site. This town has this all over this town north end to south and east to west. It a total disgrace to this city. But what do you expect from a growing oil city, ask Williston, they been fighting this problem for years now.

Young people, yes, it is primarily young people will buckle their seat belt and immediately throw trash out the window. (cigarette butts ARE litter) Guess they can keep only one socialization thought in their heads at any one time.
You could enforce the law but hey, we can't even enforce the red light law!
well....people can walk the ditches to collect garbage...and in the process...pick up some hungry TICKS too!!!!
It's the same litterbug issue Minot has always had. Nothing new, nothing that needs to be dealt with any sooner than how it was dealt with in the past. But if the city thinks it is an issue now? But hey, if they are just noticing it now? Then I guess its time to deal with it.
