Thanks, disgusted, you made my afternoon.
Sometimes I have trouble following, but I give it my best shot.

No --I am saying that is what it is going to take. Need someone with legal background to write proposition. I would certainly help distribute-
Are you saying you have already started a petition or the petition process?
I would have liked some emphasis placed on the valuation process and the state tax equalization that sets the limits on taxation of property. I don't believe that the legislature will change that---it needs an initiated measure like proposition 13 to accomplish it.Will be the first to carry a petition to get it done.
Veritas, I think not. Disgusted, I agree.

Veritas, help from a neighbor or friend during a moment of need is not the same as 'help' from the government which is in reality, the opposite of helping and creates dependency which you know was started by the democrats and the republicans have latched onto that because they were belittled into thinking they were not compassionate and caring. and yes, we do have what it takes to rid ourselves of dependency. we can either do it on our own, or be forced into it when the government crashes and burns because of the overspending.
Jeepers Missy...We could be related!
It's a little more complicated than just being able to blame someone.
Greed is a title reserved for itself and attaching Democrat or Republican to it just cheapens the meaning.

"I believe that Democrats and conservatives have a lot in common and together we could get rid of the dependency on government."
Yes & No. But I liked what you said!
The two dominant political parties are certainly intrinsically linked...
Getting rid of the dependency on govt. will never happen because of anthropological reasons...
an·thro·pol·o·gy (nthr-pl-j) n. 1. The scientific study of the origin, the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans. 2. That part of Christian theology concerning the genesis, nature, and future of humans, especially as contrasted with the nature of God.
The only thing that will save us is honor & honesty...By virtue, we don't have what it takes.
I do work around the Greedy Republicans and Democrats alike.

Veritas, who is doing that? Who are you blaming now? My great Grand parents settled here from Norway, My Grandparents are buried here, My Father and Mother are also buried here. History... My dad wrote a folder of papers from the 1930's I look at a lot. So who is full of it. I live on my families farm. By the way, no dishwasher, I do have a washer and dryer. Got to watch out from overloading the appliances. I can afford to move. I don't want to.
Missy...I don't hate ND...I hate hypocrisy!
My grandfather was one of the first settlers here and he never asked for help but when he recieved it...He was appreciative and never forgot it.
What I continually see & hear is a complaining left hand with the right one outreached and that bugs me.
It's not okay to bury honesty with pride and telling yourself you're better than someone else is setting yourself up for a big dissapointment.

I believe that Democrats and conservatives have a lot in common and together we could get rid of the dependency on government. How about it Veratis?
locomotive, the before in the after of the sun beside the up down. That is what I get from some of the posts. Seriously, for those who look only at the letter R or D and NOT at the voting record, or philosophy; really do look through a Cyclops, monocle, or tunnel vision. Funny how they project their shortcomings onto others.
Veritas, if you hate North Dakota and live here, move. If you don't live in North Dakota, go whine some place else. Otherwise run for some office and change the rules to your liking.

"Then come home and get in the welfare line for free insurance, free food, free heat for my house and just plain old free time to fish and stuff like that."
The underline message of dependency is also the history of ND...It's too bad that 70% have to pick up the tab for the other 30% as it is also too bad that 70% of the states in the US have had to pick up the tab for ND for all these years...still!
Why look for the medias take on poverty when you can find it in your neighborhood?
loco...follow me on the cyclops thingy...
Question was "Did the 2013 Legislature do enough to reduce property taxes in the state?"
The North Dakota Republican Party is strongly in control of the state's politics. The party holds nearly all statewide positions in addition to having a supermajority in both houses, of the state legislature, over the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party. Courtesy of Wiki...
You might be a little fatigued but surely the 84% should hold the other 84% accountable?
Hence, poke away but make sure you're poking correctly because this state wanted a one-eyed cyclops to run this state and you got what you voted for!

Early, you're one witty teddy bear today!
Ice fishing is not a sport that I find agreeable, though I have a bro-in-law that loves going all the time.
Now I can easily forget ice fishing for a whole...what....five more months?
Bring on the garden tomatoes and cucumbers! I'm ready!

hahhaha thank you Loco.. I'll use peas to trap bears too..lol I'll drill a hole in the ice on a lake and spread peas around the hole and when a bear comes to eat the peas I will kick him in the ice hole...lol!!
disgusted, I liked your posts.
For one, I could understand them...
Veritas, if I could understand what you're getting at with your post, I might be able to address "eyes of Cyclops" or other such profundities you want to dish up.
For me, it's better to keep it simple.
EarlyBird, our friend Jack would be proud of you for eating your peas and drinking your koolaid like a good little guy.
"OOPS! My bad, I thought we were in control."
willgrr, what do you mean by "we" in this sentence?
Democrats or Republicans, most politicians seem to be Buzz Lightyear when it comes to taxes and/or spending:
"To infinity and beyond!"
VERITAS Apr-27-13 2:43 PM "Pride & prejudice will re-elect misery and being dependent on others just keeps getting handed down generation after generation"
84% says NO..or not even close...
loco insists there's more than one eye to poke out from the Cyclops dynasty and EB wants to give back everything that ND's have been given. Disgusted thinks medicare expansion is democratic waste..."It's our money"...Well, it's somebody's money.
"Better get used to Randian idealogues who disguise themselves as Republicans"
If you're not positioned, if you're not subsidized and if you're not on THE chart...You're buffed.
That pretty much speaks for 84% of ND's...so the survey is correct!
I'm thinking about selling everything I own except my homestead and going on vacation for a couple years, see the world and enjoy whats left of my money. Then come home and get in the welfare line for free insurance, free food, free heat for my house and just plain old free time to fish and stuff like that. Anybody want to join me? Save one of those free houses in Minot for me if I overspend on vacation and have to sell my house to make sure I have a most memorable time.
