IF he goes, I believe many of the board members must also depart. From the written opinion, "members and Chancellor Shirvani in a manner that results in widespread open meeting violations.” The opinion says that while some board members do make good-faith efforts to follow transparency laws, some may be purposefully defying them. “There is sufficient reason to conclude that for some members failure to comply may be intentional,” reads the opinion.

"The guy needs to do the honorable thing and the professional thing."

And again, I agree with centerish.

What a wonderful world...

Ok, you guys, that's enough. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Dusty makes inuendos towards me and that scarey. Now, loco agrees with me.... Stop the bus. What do I say... Common ground? Well, at least in this case. The guy needs to do the honorable thing and the professional thing. REsign without compensation. He is a loser.

As long as you want to be political, Dusty, lets throw in the Iran-Contra scandal. Ah heck, it is only Dusty blowing smoke. Hatred knows no bounds. You probably should prosecute those Republicans who violate the constitution or tortured people... Lets start there, dusty. Or maybe we could ship some of them overseas so they could be charged with war crimes. But, it is Dusty, so who really cares what you think anyway.

For those who think that he should stay and it is a witch hunt, we should really review what he has and has not done. He is supposed to be the professional that guides the board to run the system within the law. He helps the attorney to keep the Board from doing things illegally. He has not done that. In fact, he fired the previous attorney (now, you can say the board did, but we know who advises the board) when that attorney tried to stop the illegalities. This man should be fired for cause and the Board should be dissolved. The man is not the professional educator/leader that he is supposed to be. Oh, and that new attorney they hired to be their YES gal... Gone.

Well, I wonder . . .

Why do the diehard Republican editors of this newspaper have a problem with a man named Hamid Shirvani?

What's the problem?

What could it be that so upsets and un-nerves them that they would run article after article about wanting this man to resign?

No, I don't think he should. The whole thing has smacked of a witch hunt since the start. He may not be the most personable human being and is perhaps just another of many overpaid individuals in this cushy system, but he was hired to implement some apparently-needed reforms, not mollify the university heads. The decision to attack Shirvani was entirely personal, from the word go.

If anyone would have done a background check on Shirvani he never would have been hired. The mess he left in California is unbelievable.

He shows a blatant disrespect of the rules set forth.
