Does the latest senseless attack on Americans, another bombing, change your feelings on passing additional laws to control firearms?

  1. Yes, even more in favor
  2. Yes, even more opposed
  3. Unchanged/separate issues
  4. None of the above

I do not see how this attack has anything to do with gun control other then if someone wants to do harm to lots of folks, it can be done without a AR15. Just more proof, guns don't kill, people kill.

What do you think Custer and his men would have done to the Sioux had the Sioux warriors not been armed?

What happened at Wounded Knee after the Lakota Sioux surrendered their arms?

Also, police corruption in Russia has become a problem and Russian citizens have taken to arming themselves for their protection against their own police. There is corruption in anything. The Russians would be fools to surrender their arms.

Gun control is not going to work. The criminals will not surrender their guns, probably increase the number they have and will never be registered.

On September 26, 1920 Wall Street was bombed in the first terrorist incident in America.

If people want to make bombs and harm others, gun control will do nothing to stop it.

Gun control is not going to work.

D. I accidentally hit the disagree option.. I agree with you.

We now know again what bombs can do in the USA, we should all pray for the victims and their families. It seems like every time the government tries to control guns the bad guys do something worse.

Notable attacks associated with domestic terrorism 1. Bombing of Los Angeles Times building 2. Wall Street bombing 3. Bath, Michigan bombings 4. Unabomber attacks 5. Attacks by the Jewish Defense League 6. Oklahoma City bombing 7. Centennial Olympic Park bombing 8. 2001 anthrax attacks 9. Knoxville Unitarian Church shooting 10. Murder of George Tiller 11. Family members of the Sandy Hook tragedy were seated in a VIP section located nearby. The last mile of the Boston Marathon was dedicated to the Sandy Hook victims. Explains a motive for the bombing.

Who would do such a thing?

There was a 26-second moment of silence to pay tribute to the Sandy Hook victims, and a group of Newtown parents were among the nine community members taking part in the race.

“In the first 20 miles we’re honoring the 20 Sandy Hook first graders,” Laura Nowaci, a spokeswoman for the Newtown Strong Fund, which raises funds for those affected by the shooting, told WBUR in Boston. “When we crest Heartbreak Hill, and we’re coming back towards Boston, we run the final six for our six fallen educators, including their lives, to protect our children.

“It’s just running, but we want our steps to count,” she added.

Two bombs exploded near the crowded finish line of the marathon, killing at least three people, including an eight-year-old boy, and injuring over 140. Among the wounded are a two-year-old boy with a head injury, a nine-year-old girl with leg trauma and six other kids under the age of 15.

Just saw some "good looking" FBI lady read a report to us on TV. Whoever she was she must be far removed from what has happened if she needs to write down notes of what what she is going to tell us.

It would be a fair assessment to make in saying that even if everyone at the race had been armed (or for the sake of argument, unarmed), this tragedy would have unfolded in the same fashion. That's why - short of the eventual culprit(s) being motivated by said issues - I would say (discounting hyperbole) that this bombing and gun control/sanctity are unrelatable.

Around 31000 people are killed by firearms each year. Around 11,000 were murders. Another 72000 were injures from guns that did not end in death..

Yet Around 3000 people were killed on 9/11. We were so outraged We started two wars and spent around 2trillion dollars and caused the killing of 100s of thousands. But yet terrorist actions have killed less people in the USA then dogs.

Still we have no answer accept what the NRA and crazy people of both political parties say, we need more guns!!

I own guns myself and do not know the best answer but something is wrong, when we spend trillions on terrorists and billions to send drug users to jail and wreck countless families in the name of the drug war, but guns are not even allowed a good debate, even after kindergartners are killed all they can say, is " ADD MORE GUNS to the MIX. Put more guns in schools..What the %&#!

Why should we compare a gun episode with a bombing? We should be comparing the "attitude" that permeates our society. In that issue, these items are related. We have a hatred permeating our country and fostered by a small portion of our society. No one is coming to get your guns. No one is violating the constitution by restricting some types of guns or ammunition.(supreme court ruling a few years ago). But, if someone can be blamed or a conspiracy can be put forth, then the wide eyed ones are happy. Is this an international terrorist act or is it another Oklahoma? Find that out first and then let your hormones rage.

Shouldn't Congress then be asking for a stop to the drone program, or is it ok for Obama to senselessly kill an American citizen using a drone? Shouldn't there be drone control laws too?

Or is that too unsettling for ya? Too much to think about?

Drones don't kill people, people kill people. Can you see it any other way?

Politicians are duplicitous, they are hypocrites, they say 'do as I say, not as I do'.

So when Obama speaks of the tragedy of Sandy Hook, think of him giving the order to use a drone to kill an American citizen.

He's the pot calling the kettle black.

What is needed worst of all is politician control laws.

They're dangerous.

Comparing guns and bombs in this context is unrealistic, but the gun debate is hot so the news orgs use it however they can.

Correction or clarification on my post. Do not know how many persons killed by dogs. Terrorist attacks and gun deaths we do know and the two are very far apart.

Currently around 40,000 people die each year from car accidents and the number of gun deaths on the current trajectory is expected to surpass car deaths before the end of the decade.

Did see our state legislature passed a new DUI laws recently. Maybe there has been a rash of DUI deaths lately so they had to respond but they will not debate this issue, and that is a political fact. They both deserve debate as they both can be prevented.

Obviously, mule, when you have no facts you can always deal with the news from Rush, Shawn, fox and friends. The person in question had publicly renounced his US citizenship. He was linked to many terrorist activities against the US and US soldiers. He was not coming to the US for a visit so we could talk with him. He was a propagandist for the terror groups. But, if you have nothing, forget the facts and make things up.

And he is Dead, and some or even a lot of gun rights activist say the President should not have killed him, and cry foul. Even though when you renounce your citizenship it means you are no longer USA, but on a technicality, he did not file the proper paper work. And - Despite being video taped action orientated, religious crazy who's primary goal as stated on tape was to kill a Lot more Americans and lead Jihad against them he finds defenders in the strangest places..

He also lived in a country where we could not offer a search warrant and arrest him. Wonder what President Bush what have done?

Muleskinner - I am a bit of a fan of Lonesome Dove, and remember Jake spoon saying, a Muleskinner dropped down on me and he shot back with a 50 cal and killed the dentist in the street. Also the Mayor..

I know it is a stretch of the imagination for some, but so many gang violence deaths are bystanders these days.

Just thought future gun owners might benefit from watching videos of all the kids and loved ones who have died from guns and gun violence and maybe a conversation could be held with honesty about 30,000 deaths a year from guns.
